Excellent little theatre on the University campus. The staff were lovely and very accommodating to health needs. We went to watch a very naughty Christmas the theatre was intimate with great views from all the seats

It is a mid size theatre in the round for about 400 patrons
This season this year( 2022) has four plays
In comparison with six or seven plays per Covid
I like the the redecoration of the foyer as it’s softer than the last harsher rendition
The theatre company is 100 years old in 2025 and has been in this site almost two decades
La Boite has a reputation for edgy experimentation and in my experience it certainly lived up to that!
An excellent venue to meet, have a drink, & enjoy some excellent theatre
Enjoy the smaller theatre and loved seeing the naughty Christmas last 2 years there. Easier parking and more intimate show

La Boite Theatre is a place you can have something diverse, bold, unique experience of theatre. Their program are getting better and better each year. I really hope that La Boite keep the spirit of diversity and transcultural theme in their work because that is actually what Australian theatre and performing arts' strength.
Saw “Garden Party” at La Boite today - party of four ranging in age from 6 to 76. Each of us LOVED this crazy, action packed show performed by ridiculously talented performers. Great show and so well presented by La Boite Theatre even down to availability of great value food & drink pack, fantastic play area for kids before and after show, pictures taken with cast.the Roundhouse.
Robbie Curtis and Lizzie McRae are sensational in their acrobatics, juggling, magic, acrobatics and circus thrills. Don’t miss this show.
Lovely up close and personal theatre. Great atmosphere
First time in La Boite tonight and we absolutely loved every moment.
Intimate seating giving those in the front rows the feeling like they are bystanders within the play. Actors just a metre from the audience or sitting in the next seat!
The production was exhilarating, funny, witty, shocking. Got that wow factor!
We’ll be joining up as members and coming back on a regular basis.
